Entry (Details):
Mentioned in CTh XVI 6.2 (dated 377 Oct. 17 and addressed to Flavianus 15 as vicar of Africa); after forbidding rebaptism, it orders the confiscation of estates used for secret meetings by heretics, ‘nihil ut ab eo tenore sanctio nostra deminuat, qui dato dudum ad Nitentium praecepto fuerat constitutus’; possibly Nitentius had been vicar of Africa previously. The name might be a mis-spelling of ‘Nicentius’, in which case he might be identical with Marcus Nicentius 4.
